Tags: Earthquake in Chile
It has happened again. In the America’s another earthquake has hit causing damage and death.
Earthquakes SEEM to be more more prevalent in the past 6 months with:
- Haiti (not in the ‘Americas’)
- Chicago
- Chile
The focus of this website is NOT forecasting earthquakes or guessing where the next earthquake will happen. The focus is providing customer’s with earthquake insurance so when an earthquake causes damage to your home, you have coverage.
Examples of coverage:
- A $150,000.00 home added earthquake coverage to their policy and the added coverage resulted in a $45.00 a year increase.
- A $1,000,000.00 rental home with a brick exterior added earthquake insurance to their policy. The price increase for this coverage was $388.00 per year.
So… Should you buy earthquake insurance? In Georgia, there are several fault lines. Insurance is positioned traditionally for Perils that are more prevalent such as Fire, Hail, and the list is long. The question needs to be “is the added attention and severity of “local” earthquakes warrent the added coverage”?
We believe that the added cost of the coverage is SMALL for the added peace-of-mind.
Give us a call or fill out the attached quote sheet. We will respond quickly to your request.
Thank you again for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,

Payment options available are as follows:
- Include the payment in your Mortgage escrow account. Many mortgage companies will allow the escrow account to pay for the hazard insurance, flood insurance, and earthquake coverage. Working with our agency will position you with a proven track record of working with escrow services to fund the policy costs.
- Paying for the policy personally is equally convenient. Visa, Mastercard or payment by check can be made in-full or incrementally over 2 or 4 months.
When purchasing your home or refinancing, an earthquake policy can be included in the closing costs. Expenses incorporated into the closing are quickly faciliated into future escrow account payments.
Do consider giving us a call or submitting the online quote for your coverage and pricing options.

Good News: No reported damage in Chicago and No injuries.
Earthquakes happen. The question is do you want coverage when an earthquake occurs. Many times, after the earthquake, insurance companies will suspend new policies being issued for earthquake coverage.
The key to Earthquake insurance is to purchase the coverage PRIOR TO the first event in your area.
Many of the “exclusive insurance agents” like “State F–m” or “All Sta–”, “Nationw—” and others state that earthquake insurance is NOT available. Earthquake coverage IS AVAILABLE but not with many of the exclusive agents.
We provide insurance for homes that INCLUDES coverage for earthquakes.
Give us a call or submit the online application and our agency will contact you.

There are so many types of insurance and so many types of coverage. Even as it relates to insuring the home, the variables for assurance are often times not all met in a single home hazard policy.
Depending on the number of claims a person has had, a Fire Policy may be all that the insurance company will provide. If the home is vacant or under renovation, there are policies for those risks too. But in any of these polices there are two types of coverage that are more and more often NOT provided for in the base policy: Earthquake Insurance and Flood Insurance. Also not readily covered is: Termite/pest infestation and any type of home warranty.
Assurance of coverage is always available when the amount of funds is limitless. Realty: There are only a certain amount of funds. So pick the perils you are most concerned about and insure wisely.
No body knows when the next damaging earthquake will ocur in Georgia. At Georgia Earthquake Insurance.com we are not here forcing the sale or stating the coverage is required.
Georgia Earthquake Insurance.com does provide a solution for assurance if desired. Give us a call.
Sincerely,

Georgia has very few Earthquakes and little damage inflicted to date as a result of a Earthquake.
Reality, Earthquake coverage provides coverage for more than just damage due to a Earthquake. Coverage in some cases is extended to local explosions causing the earth to tremble with resulting damage to structures. Mud slides is another peril that earthquake coverage provides additional coverage.
Ga Earthquake Insurance provides coverage as a stand-alone policy and does not require underlying property coverage. A single policy can be written to insure Earthquake and related losses.
Solutions are also available as a combination policy with home coverage for the structure and earthquake damage.
Give us a call for a quick quote or submit the application online for a prompt price on a stand-alone earthquake policy.
